The Golden Heart Project

A wise woman once said to me, “a new baby can be really connecting or really isolating.”

The Golden Heart Project is a simple and small reminder that new moms, such as you, are not alone. There are new moms in your community who hold the other pieces of the Golden Heart.  They are feeling the same feelings and looking for a friend who can relate and understand what it’s like to be a new mom in this crazy world.  If you have a Golden Heart card keep it close and then please pass it on to a fresh momma, or a woman who is about to experience her journey from Maiden to Mother.

Explain to her what the Golden Heart Project is and see what happens!

Think of it as a “Pay It Forward” movement; a simple gift from one momma to another.

We believe that pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum are a sacred chapter in a woman’s life.  Your body has created, sustained, and brought forth a new life leaving you open and vulnerable after childbirth.  Honoring this journey from Maiden to Mother in our fast paced culture is not often thought of or ritualized.

Our promise is to provide a natural remedy and time. Time to honour the extraordinary process which your body has just performed. A healthy postpartum will give you and your new family a positive and confident beginning as you move forward into the next chapter of your lives together.

“Motherhood is the greatest thing and the hardest thing.”

– Ricki Lake

After 4 midwife assisted births both in her home and in the hospital, Jenny decided that pursuing a career as a birth and postpartum worker is where she should be.  Currently she is working as a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, blogger, studying Benkung Belly Binding, and plans to work towards her Postpartum Doula certification as she watches her 4th child start Kindergarten in the fall.
